We have eaten here often. The food is great, the service is good. They keep the water cups filled. We enjoy the variety here. The bathrooms are cold in winter but fine in summer. But they are clean.
Our son used to live in New Orleans and we enjoyed visiting. Being in a diner recently where the bathrooms are in the kitchen reminded me of the first time I saw that- a diner (I had long forgotten) in that city. It was not in the French Quarter- but just a few blocks away.
One of our favorite diners in New Orleans is Hobnobbers, which I think still exists. It was in an alley and we were hesitant, but loved it. The food, the staff and prices. We went there most mornings for breakfast. Their only bathroom was in a bar (not open at breakfast time!) and I never got in, because it was always busy. But we really liked it.
We haven't been there is years, but if we return, I am going there for breakfast!
